The Proposal
On February 25, 2006, Michael asked Fanegie to come with him to a church ceremony where his friend would become a Pastor. He told her to get dressed up and that it would be in New York City. When they got there, he brought her to Rockefellar Center and told her that he had to meet his friend there so that he could follow him to the church. As Fanegie paced back and forth, looking for the so-called "friend", a violinist walked up to her, playing Michael and Fanegie's favorite love song, "Endless Love". At that moment, Michael got down on one knee, declared his love to Fanegie, and asked for her hand in marriage. Fanegie of course accepted! Out of the blue, she saw her brother's friend pop out with a video camera. She was so confused! It turns out that he was video taping the whole thing! Then her brother came out from behind a building and congratulated them both. They then went to a local restaurant to celebrate with friends. Michael and Fanegie rode to the restaurant on a Rick-Shaw, where they were able to take in the NYC scenery and enjoy their new engagement.
Two months later, they had an even bigger dinner where both of their families came together to meet each other for the very first time.
